  5.     At the current time (Dec. 1993), there are four volumes of Wilstar
  6. Software programs.  They are labeled as Wilstar Software Volumes 1 - 3.
  7. Another volume contains elementary education games and is called Edu-Drills.
  8. In addition, there are several other Wilstar Software programs that are
  9. not included on these 3 volumes.

  11.     If you need to contact the author (Jerry Wilson) of ANY of the
  12. Wilstar Software programs, there are a number of ways to go about it:

  24.     Most of the Wilstar Software line of programs are shareware.  A
  25. couple of them are freeware or have been placed in the public domain.
  26. These programs are clearly marked as freeware or public domain.  Almost
  27. all the Wilstar Software programs can be registered for a $10 registration
  28. fee.  Anyone who registers a program will be sent the Wilstar Software
  29. volume that includes that particular program.  Most likely, the disk will
  30. contain a newer version of the program you register.

  32. Some of the Wilstar Software programs included in one of the three volumes
  33.  include:
  34.     THE WILSTAR ALMANAC -- An almanac, moon phase program with chimes.
  35.     WILSTAR DAILY REMINDER -- Displays reminders at boot w/ alarm.
  36.     WILSTAR TRIVIA BREAK -- A trivia game.
  37.     I-70 EXPRESS -- A truck driving simulation.
  38.     CONVERT IT -- Converts measurements from one unit to another.
  39.     DAYS TO -- Gives the number of days remaining to the next holiday.
  40.     WEEKDAY -- Gives day of week for any date, plus birthday stats.
  41.     COUNTDOWN 2000 -- The Millennium program! (Events in history)
  42.     LOOKING BACK -- Events in history on today's date program.
  43.     GREETINGS -- Greets you personally at boot up.
  44.     WILSTAR SPELLING BEE -- Great for helping with spelling homework
  45.     SLOTS -- The Wilstar Slot Machine simulator.

  47.     The MOON PHASE WALLPAPER (MOONBMP.EXE) program is not included on
  48. any volume because it is used exclusively with WINDOWS 3.x.  The same 
  49. applies to SPACEBMP.ZIP, which can be found in GEnie Windows RT library.
  50. MOON PHASE WALLPAPER is a WINDOWS startup utility that changes the wallpaper
  51. background of windows to display the earth disk along with the current
  52. moon phase.
  53.     The MOONBMP.EXE program can be ordered (or registered) for $10.00.  
  54. The SPACEBMP.ZIP file is free.  If you don't have access to GEnie, send me
  55. $5.00 media, P&H fee and I'll be happy to send it to you.  It is a 
  56. collection of space-related .BMP wallpaper files for WINDOWS.
  57.     One popular public domain program is the FREEDM23.ZIP file that
  58. includes the text of several historic documents of the U.S.  It is menu
  59. driven and also plays 3 patriotic tunes.  Again, it is available on GEnie,
  60. but I will send you a copy of it for the $5.00 media fee.  
  61.     Other Wilstar Software programs you can order include the game of
  62. Fictionary, a game of obscure vocabulary in multiple choice format, and
  63. Wilstar Dialing Directory (DIAL.EXE), a phone dialer and ASCII dialing
  64. directory.  There is also a startup program, AUTOSTART, which can be placed
  65. in your autoexec.bat file and will run certain programs on certain dates.
  66.         For a $10 registration fee, you may also purchase an educational 
  67. package called Wilstar Edu-Drill.  It contains fun quiz exercises in math
  68. and spelling designed for the elementary grades.
  69.         To order any of the programs outlined above, use the order form
  70. included as the file REGISTER.TXT, or just send a letter with the name of
  71. the program you want along with the registration fee and $1.50 for S & H.
